About Art: Through a curious twist of the camera in June of 2007, Lois LaFond completely changed her focus. She began taking pictures with more commitment and a lot less seriousness. Her unmanipulated digital photos have an unusual sense of musicality. Often resembling paintings, the richness of the color, the contrast and the movement have resulted in a discovery of her own personal harmony between song and image.
Since that day in June when she shot 110 pictures, she has been chosen to be a part of numerous exhibitions which have featured the impermanence series as well as some of her other photography.
The experience of shooting the pictures, and her surprise at the outcome of the photographs, confirms her fascination with the concept of impermanence.

"Lois Lafond is finding her voice in the movement, color and layering of realities vibrating in her photos. They are fun, vivacious and thoughtful reflecting the artist herself."
